If it takes some effort to get these items then we should be able to use them on any of our toons, it feels somewhat unrewarding in my opinion to get all the vanity gear from an in-game holiday or another source and only be able to wear or store them on a single character. I think the very appeal behind these items is to be able to relax, have fun, and show off on a whim. Unfortunately it is hard to do this if you are on an alt or have your stuff in void storage or the bank.
