That said, you can make great-fitting, nice-looking variably-spaced dovetails with this jig. The dust collection accessory works great and is a must-have. I make a lot of drawers with half-blind DTs and have dedicated a router just for this operation, makes them quick and easy since I don't have to make test joints to adjust depth-of-cut, except when changing bits. I found that drawer fronts and backs (containing the pins) are easier to machine from 5/8' or greater thickness, since I don't have to fuss with placing a spacer under those boards (although 1/2' boards will clamp, I'm cutting pins too close to my jig for comfort).

I contacted Rockler on 8/11/17 at approx. 2:30 CST and told the rep on the phone what my problem was. According to the individual I spoke with, I would have to contact Leigh via a 1-800 number because, according to the Rockler employee, they(Leigh) wanted to talk to me the buyer. Well, my problem with that is I didn't do business with Leigh, I did business with Rockler.

It would seem to me that Rockler would want to talk to Leigh in regards to parts missing from items Rockler sells. I thought that Rockler's customer service would make it right and that they would send me the missing router bits even if it was the least expensive bit they sold, but, alas, that was not the case. My only option was to take the time and effort to contact Leigh to resolve the issue. Maybe I'm out of line but I have done business with Rockler for quite some time and have always been impressed with them and their customer service, but, this time they blew it.

Oh well, guess that is just the times we live in. Anyway, the dovetail jig is a nice item and I would recommend it to everyone looking for a well made and simple to use jig. Just make sure all your parts are their and if not, be prepared to give them a call because once Rockler delivers the item, any issue will have to be resolved thru Leigh. Rockler just washes their hands and moves on.
