How this helps you guys.

It should be on the Hondata website. The ODB2 option is for the K motor not for the B motor. To date only Spoon has pre-mapped ecus for the B motor. Sorry that was wrong, what they offer is the OBD1 ECU with a built in OBD2 connector so you don't need the conversion harness, just plug and play. Thats what I got mixed up but I knew there was a way to avoid the harness.

As you see, i did not even list that option. It is 450 but you do get a ecu and you still need to buy a hondata system to go with it eg 450us (socketed OBD1 P28 w/Built in OBD2) + 300us (s200) = 700usYeah.

Question though: doesn't anyone in TnT tunes Crome? It does everyting Hondata does and is way cheaper, its actually free, ie. If you aren't doing the tuning yourself. Its just a chip that the map is burnt onto and then socketed into the OBD1 ECU. I had the S200 and sold it for Crome, saved about US$250.

I am using crome in my car for as long as i had the hondata. As my backup ecu is a crome chipped ecu.

The only thing that makes hondata better than crome, is all the options are ready to use, with crome, you still need to play with wiring (not much). Outside of that it is sweet and work just as good.

I like crome alot it is 150US for Crome Pro. Plus you still need to buy a Romulator realtime emulator. $180 Serial Pocket Programmer $180 now if someone has these items already, then all you need to do is get the ecu chipped and pay the person to tune. How did you save so much money? Basic Crome may be free, but Crome pro, which is the one you should really use is if ur serious about jumping in. You STILL need to buy a couple chips, a chip burner, usb cabling, get the ecu socketed. That is all over $100US invested already.

Not to mention possibly grabbing up an ostrich cable. U talking spending over $350US. Now how much was an S200?

The guy who tuned my car had all that stuff already, my ECU was already socketed for the S200 so he just gave me a chip and we went off street tuning. And it was Crome Pro, I sold the S200 for about $270 or there about, all I paid for was the street tune with was just $60 and then dyno about a month or so after. So like I said, if you going to do it yourself, you'll need all that stuff, Ostrich, wideband, laptop etc. But I had a tuner, I paid for nothing except the tune basically.
