For those of you who have played Everquest 2 know the beauty and stability that is Advanced Combat Tracker. This has been without a doubt the best parsing program I've ever used. Because combat parsing is not about measuring your ePeen. Combat parsing is about determining where your faults are, which of your abilities measures up to being most effective, and how you can go about improving your gameplay from a numbers standpoint. Combat parsing is about determining what you can do with said encounter to ensure you're doing what you should be doing from a healing standpoint, a damage dealer standpoint, or even a tank standpoint. With that said, for those who do not know what ACT is, you can find the base program here: Once you've installed the program, you can download the FFXIV plugin from a fantastic developer in the EQ2 community here: The developer has put in an incredible amount of time and work into making this parser work for FFXIV, so I highly recommend that everyone use this program and test it to it's full ability to help him fix where there are inaccuracies and get an actual combat parser that is 100% accurate.

(Failed, but went onto the next step as I have a dual boot system with windows.) Step 9 - Copied over the FFXIV files from the program files into the crossover C drive for FFXIV. (Success) Step 10 - I get the Play button and when I click on it and it finally played. I am guessing it is because of my video drivers. Jun 25, 2016. Since 3.3 I've been crashing when I click an area to teleport to. There is no error given, there is just a Final Fantasy XIV has stopped working window. It is only when I select an area on the teleport menu. No animation goes off, no zone loading, just as soon as I select it. PC/Windows10/DX11/ Nivida driver:.

Who else is tired of the poor parser programs for this game? Let's help make ACT the powerhouse it should be for FFXIV. EDIT: Copy and paste note from Ravahn. Here's a quick setup guide: 1) Install Advanced Combat Tracker from the website Here. This will by default go into c: program files (x86) Advanced Combat Tracker. The ACT website has more details if you run into problems.

2) Download the FFXIV-ARR combat log plugin here. Unzip it into a directory somewhere on your PC, but I put mine in the ACT program files folder. For direct memory access to FFXIV, this will need to be run as a local administrator, I believe, but I have not done much testing on this.

4) The first time it runs, ACT will start a wizard. It was originally designed for Everquest2, so you can cancel out of it or go through as you wish. The plugin is not included in the wizard currently. 5) Within ACT is a plugins tab. Go there, and click the 'browse' button.

Locate the FFXIV_ACT_Plugin.dll you unzipped and click the 'Add/Enable Plugin' button 6) You should now see a new sub-tab open called 'FFXIV Settings'. Click this, and put the memory location F875A8 into the text box (Base Memory Address), and select the 'Read directly from FFXIV Memory' radio button. Alternately, you can select the other option and click the 'Browse for Logs' button and locate your FFXIV combat logs. 7) Some people reported having to close/reopen ACT the first time you install the plugin, so try that if it doesn't connect to the game.

There's a button to test this - 'Validate Address'. A note about combat logs. Unlike other games, FFXIV overwrites your combat log every time you log out / log in. If you run a zone and want to keep the logs for later review, you need to find your FFXIV log file directory and copy the raw logs some place - I put mine in a subdirectory so they all stay together.

I'm the author of this plugin. I used ACT heavily during EQ2 raiding days and there's nothing else quite like it out there. It lets you drill down into individual encounters, categorizes your different skills, buffs, debuffs, heals, etc. You can see a timestamp next to every entry, aggregation details such as crit rate, hit/miss rate, etc. Raw log details are grouped by encounter and can be reviewed to see if there's a parser mistake. The plugin has two modes - FFXIV log file reading and direct memory access. They operate the same way, except the direct memory reading is slightly more accurate because of what seems like a bug in how FFXIV flushes log data out to disk.

It is also immediate, while the logs are flushed every 1000 lines or so. It is designed to fully parse both your own combat data, as well as your party members' data. Biomechanics Of The Musculoskeletal System Nigg Pdf Writer. Magix Music Maker 2014 Soundpools Download.

It will also parse FATEs reasonably, if you have the log filters turned off so everything makes it to your FFXIV client. I've mostly focused on testing 4-man and 8-man group content.

Two features I'm particularly happy with are how it links damage to the correct player / action, and how can handle simultaneous AOE damage hits. It still will not catch two equally-geared BLMs landing the same AOE spell very well, but it can handle cross-job simultaneous AOEs, which are more common. It does simulate DoT ticks, but this is a new feature.

Feedback is welcome. More details are on the, which hosts the Advanced Combat Tracker forums.

It is worth giving it a try. It estimates the DoT ticks not just on the initial damage, since that would not work for Bio/etc, but uses the combatant's past damage to estimate them. At the moment, if you just cast Bio and do nothing else, it will not register any DoT damage. For crit rate, this version just averages the player's crit rate over the past log data and uses that with a random number generator to determine whether a DoT tick should crit. A future enhancement will parse crit buffs like it does potency buffs, and apply those as well, to get a more accurate DoT crit estimate. For now they just get averaged together so the overall DoT crit rate should be close to the average, given enough ticks.

It's not perfect, but it's what I have at the moment. I've been experimenting a lot on target dummies with my summoner, trying various combinations of DoTs with and without Raging Strikes.

There's a lot of variability in the potential damage of each tick, so any guestimate of DoT damage is questionable. However, it appears that the FFXIV client app knows exactly how much my DoTs are ticking on each target (even though its not explicitly logged), because my damage ticks show red, while others show blue. Is this not something that you could scan the client memory for? I'm not convinced that the DoT tick amounts are communicated to the FFXIV client in a usable way, since all we see is a text value rendered next to the target. Once I make more progress on tuning the parser, I may take another stab at finding this though. I do take raging strikes into account when calculating DoT tick amounts, but there is at least one missing ability - Contagion - that is not implemented at all. I am testing it in a current development build but is not ready to go out yet.

Hmm, this is odd. I do know that if you are in the open world and people are engaging in combat around you, the parser will usually pick that up and create a number of 'Encounter' entries. If you run out of range of other players, it would stop. There is a setting in the ACT options: Main Table/Encounters ->Encounter Culling where you can check 'Cull all encounters marked Encounter (no allies)'. This will hide any encounters where it cannot detect you or another party member fighting.

It is not perfect, but may solve the problem. First of all, Thank you so much for doing this! I had been hoping that someone would make an ACT plugin for FFXIV, I love the way ACT is set up and its customization and detail. I'll try and help find any inaccuracies so you can make it the go-to parser! From some preliminary testing (Garuda-Egi and myself on Striking Dummies): Contagion does not seem to track correctly. I only tested it with bio since I had limited time this morning.

Contagion is Garuda's ability which extends the duration of her SMN's currently cast DoTs on the mob (Bio, Bio II, Miasma, Miasma II, and Thunder) by 15 seconds. Could not graph by the simple bar graph option, always had the message 'No combatants with compatible data to graph.' It would also be nice if there was like a checkbox or something that we could click to choose whether or not to combine our pet damage with our own so that its shown as one entity.

I'll try and pinpoint any other inaccuracies when I have the chance! That's correct, I started working on Contagion right after 1.0.2.2 release because I wanted to figure out why Summoner DPS was usually lower than it should be.

I have it working, in that it extends the duration of the existing tick (per the tooltip). Can you confirm that it does not affect the damage amounts, if you change your buffs? For example, if you use raging strikes immediately before contagion, does the DoT amount change? The Graph issue usually happens when you sort by a non-numeric column such as name or StartTime. Even if there is only one combatant, it still attempts to sort when generating the graph. Try sorting by Damage or some other numeric column and the graph should appear.

I don't know that I can combine the pet damage with player, or that it would really make sense in the context of ACT. I think ACT has a feature called 'Combat Rename' under Options tab ->Data Correction, where you can merge two combat entries. This was likely added for a similar issue in EQ2. I have not tested it with my plugin, but give it a try if you have time.

Just in case someone else notices, I also have a typo which caused Whispering Dawn HoT to tick for 10 potency/tick instead of 100, which will be fixed in the next release. Buffing using Raging Strike after applying the DoTs but before using Contagion does not increase the damage of your DoTs. However, while testing this I found that the damage boost from Raging Strikes just doesn't show up on my DoT damage in ACT at all! My Bio averages about 600 total damage (about 100 damage per tic), and whether I used Raging Strikes or not, the average tic stayed at 100 and the overall damage done was still about 600 per application.

I figured out the graph thing as well, you were correct in asserting that it was the sort. It was sorted by damage%, changing it to overall damage caused the graph to appear. The 'Combat Rename' did indeed work for merging Garuda's damage with mine, so I'll just use that then. Thanks again for your hard work! Any idea when we can expect a new version of the plugin? I'm eager to test it out and iron out any more inaccuracies!

This is good. My implementation of Contagion will find all your DoTs and extend their duration by 15 ticks as they were previously cast, which matches your testing. Raging Strikes is bad. I will do some testing of my own buffs and DoTs and see if it is unique to raging strikes or not.

One other problem I am looking into is Bane. It has a 15% chance of increasing DoT duration on the target, but I can't find any examples of it happening in the code.

Can you take a look and send me any log lines you see in ACT that appear to be related to Bane, and also related to the 15% proc? All I usually see is the message that the player used bane, and then sometimes '=>MOBNAME is unaffected.' I'm doing a bunch of miscellaneous fixes, so a new version may go out in a couple days, Once I get time to run a few dungeons with it myself and compare to my FC-mates.

Hey, Valv The 'Application has been stopped from accessing graphics hardware' happens when your display driver stops responding or your video card is no longer being recognized by your system. This is a windows error. This could be a sign of overheating, a failing video card or a corrupted driver installation. You will likely need to contact Nvidia, Microsoft or a local tech to help you diagnose the issue, but you can try a clean driver installation to see if it helps at all.

Completely uninstall your Nvidia drivers using: After the drivers are removed, download the newest driver and install it: Make sure you do a clean install: Also do not install the following when you do this: 3D Vision Drivers Geforce Experience These are not needed for your computer at this time. Test out the issue after the clean install and hopefully it helps. Can you post some computer information from the, Kujila? After you've created the dxdiag report file, open it up, and copy and paste everything, except after this section: ------------------ DirectShow Filters ------------------ After you paste everything into a post, highlight everything, and hit the ' pre' button (It says ' Code Blocks' when you hover your mouse over it). That'll make the information much more readable. We'll also want to see what type of motherboard you're using.

Do you know the make and model? ________________________________________________ Rate me!

Hello again, Tried switching to full screen mode (Not Full Screen Windowed mode), dropping to Ultra graphics, and going back to the 64-bit executable. Happened again. I am the bane of my teammates because I always crash out in the middle of games. Is there any paid support options for Blizzard? Can I pay for individualized support?

[EDIT] This might be my fix. Killing TDR completely: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE System CurrentControlSet Control GraphicsDrivers New DWORD 'TdrLevelOff' = 0 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE HARDWARE DEVICEMAP VIDEO change 'MaxObjectNumber' = 0 Then reboot. Windows 10 is being 'helpful' and constantly reverting the changes, so we will see if this is indeed a TDR-related problem and if this is indeed a fix.
